Tour of the Americas poster

Capital BrassWorks is hard at work getting the next concert, Tour of the Americas, ready for you all to enjoy this coming March and today, we are making the official poster available for download on our web site.

With the release of the poster, we are also unveiling our special guests: Norte Tropical, the Latin ensemble from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York.

Please feel free to print the poster and post it for others to see at your school, workplace, community center, etc., so no one misses-out on what is sure to be an exciting exploration into American music with some Latin spice!

Capital BrassWorks at Festive Brass Concert on Dec 11, 2009

Just before the start of Capital BrassWorks’ most recent Festive Brass concert, the group had its picture taken backstage by Snap Ottawa Downtown.

Festive Brass was a wonderful way for families to ring-in the Holiday Season with a variety of Christmas-inspired tunes and a joyful sing-along.

Thank you to all who attended! We look forward to seeing you at our next concert, Tour of the Americas, on Friday, March 26, 2010.

It’s now easier to purchase concert tickets! Just go to the Concert page, click on the Add to Cart button associated to the ticket you wish to purchase and let PayPal do the rest. Your tickets will be waiting for you at the door — just bring a copy of your receipt to the concert as proof of payment.

We have recently improved our online CD ordering process. All three Capital BrassWorks recordings are available for purchase online via PayPal which accepts all major credit cards (note that you do not have to have nor create a PayPal account to place an order).

The group was recently featured in the Ottawa Citizen on Nov 21, 2009, in an article by Steven Mazey titled, “O come all ye music lovers.” The article showcased a picture of members playing tunes in a lovely Christmas setting and announced their up-coming concert, Festive Brass.
